When to see a Women’s Health Physiotherapist
A women’s health physiotherapist has additional qualifications so that they can treat any dysfunction of the pelvic floor and pregnancy related conditions. Common complaints include:
- Bladder or bowel symptoms such as: - Leakage with coughing, sneezing or running 
- Increased urge to go to the toilet with or without leakage 
- Increased frequency of toilet stops 
- Prolapse symptoms such as heaviness, a bulge or dragging below 
 
- Musculoskeletal complaints such as: - Pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain 
- Pregnancy-related back or neck pain 
- Abdominal separation 
- Carpal tunnel and wrist pain – De Quervain’s syndrome 
- Coccyx pain 
- Rib pain
